This is a new spring, it has some slight rust from storage.
We do not know what this spring was originally made for.
It is made of flat steel spring stock that is 1/16" thick and 2" wide.
The weight is 18.95 pounds.
The O.D. of the cage is 9-7/8"
The cage has a 2-1/4" square (with rounded corners) hole on the closed side.
The I.D. is 3"
The outside end is bent with a 1/16" inside radius (to hook on to a 3/32" thick bracket in the inner side of the cage).
The inside end is bent to make a 1/4" O.D. ball end.
The outer wrap is riveted to the second wrap 4" from the outer hook.
There are 16 wraps against the outer wrap then it begins to spiral towards the center.
